The Dead Formats
"Everyone gets frustrated and aggressive, and I'd sooner take my aggression out on a guitar than on a person" - Paul Weller
Tired of dull and uninspired British music? Then it’s time you met THE DEAD FORMATS. The six sharply dressed young lads hail from Chelmsford, Essex and bring a fresh twist on British culture for the modern era, as they wear their flags on their sleeves, tipping their hat to 70’s pop, punk, soul and sound systems.
Despite having only formed in 2008, the band have already captured the sound that made bands like THE CLASH and THE JAM so interesting, bringing it up to date with fierce attitude juxtaposed with catchy choruses, post-punk ethics and true self belief, achieved by jagged guitars, distorted basslines and above all, melodies that refuse to leave your brain alone.
