G.U. Medicine

"Inspired by all things heavy, deprived and filthy, G.U. Medicine are a lethal concoction of good time rock 'n roll, furious noise core riffs mixed up with plenty of power and the all-important groove factor! The future of Collision Rock starts here!" Hailing from the gutters of deepest Barnsley, South Yorkshire, G.U. Medicine is a rock n' roll phenomenon. Dirty, greasy licks, pile driving beats and groove-laden melodies, G.U. Medicine are flying the face of the post-hardcore trend and encouraging listeners to remember what was good about rock music in the first place - the sex, drugs and the rock n roll. Dragging themselves away from the bottle in 2003, this fiery foursome quickly entered Axis Studio in Doncaster with Matt Ellis to lay down the back bone of what would soon become their debut album. Indie label Undergroove (Johnny Truant, Minus the Bear, My Ruin) heard three tracks and instantly wanted a bigger dose of G.U's collision rock! Heading back into the studio, more songs were recorded and G.U. Medicine's self-titled debut was ready. And what a debut it is! From the groove-tastic sure-fire bopper The Right Time, the fire cracker craziness of Power Take Off, the balls-out Cut Me Some Slack right through to the stomping beast of a closer Find A Ending - G.U. Medicine are a tour de force of modern day rock. G.U. Medicine have already received airplay and glowing reviews on Radio Ones Rock Show (as well as being asked to record a session for the Radio 1 Rock Show before the debut album was even released), as well as an XFM session for Ian Camfield's Rock Show. G.U. have completed numerous UK tours - clocked up shows with label mates Johnny Truant, Drive Like You Stole It, Aped Bi Sapien and toured with Viking Skull, Dozer, My Ruin, Open Hand and Nick Oliveri and The Mondo Generator.

The second album is now finished! Saints Of Excess was recorded at Axis Studios, Doncaster with Matt Ellis (who worked on the bands critically acclaimed debut opus). Featuring 11 tracks of rock n roll mayhem, Saints of Excess promises to surpass its predecessor and some.
