Jezebel
Jezebel, though only recently named, is a project that frontman/founder- Jay Lei had been toying with, and writing songs for, for the past 3 years. This incarnation began in november 2006, in Derby/Nottingham, as an ill fated project called A.O.D (Act of defiance). AOD split before it ever got off the ground, with Jay and Dan walking off in their direction. Relocating the band to Jay's hometown of Sheffield in Jan 2007, they immediately got Paul, who collaborated with Jay back in 2005 in a band they named Crimson tearz, back on board and soon added Matt before finally, in June 2007, veteren drummer Steve. The band played their debut gig on July 23rd, headlining a bill of four bands at Sheffield's well known Under The Boardwalk venue. Everyone in the band has the same love of old sckool rock'n'roll music and extravagent live performance, as well as the courage to be themselves and do their own thing, rather than slavishly following trends, and... what most band lack most of all- a sense of humour! This is a project that has been 3 years in the making... The mission; making modern day, no bullshit rock n roll music for a 21st century audience and an all new generation...
