Maeven
Maeven are a four piece all girl trash-punk-death-rock band originally from Sheffield, South Yorkshire. Formed in 2005, these girls definitely rock harder then any guys, thrashing out music that should only be played at full volume! Maeven's debut self-titled album was recorded at Axis Studios and produced by themselves and Matt Elliss in December 2007, and will be released on Lockjaw records on the 2nd February 2009, when the band will tour all over the UK throughout January and February to promote this. Maeven have played in venues all over the UK, and had a massively successful tour in the United States in 2006, playing at legendary venues such as the Whisky-A-Go-Go, The Roxy and the Cat Club. Maeven have also supported established bands such as Trashlight Vision, Dogs D'Amour, John Corabi (Motley Crue) and Dizzy Reed (Guns n Roses). Maeven are Becca Towler on vocals, Sally Gallo on guitar and backing voxx, Hannah San on bass and backing voxx, and Mel Nolan on drums.
