The Venkman Heist
This Sheffield trio pack a serious, stadium-sized rock punch - and they aren't short of a decent melody either. Ignore the metal-lite intro and you'll find that their sound, thankfully, is closer to The Datsuns than Def Leppard. They couldn't claim to have re-invented the wheel with this but the search for a credible, less irritating alternative to Foo Fighters might just start here.
