The Morning After
THE MORNING AFTER consists of four young guys with an incessant passion for over-the-top 80s metal… Throwbacks? Think again. And fast.
THE MORNING AFTER have the potential to be 2009’s biggest newcomers – and you are going to LOVE them.
Avoiding clichéd song subjects, the band actually thrive on sci-fi and Apocalyptic fiction, and have a patent love for creating horror lyricism… “We don’t write about love, or the trials and tribulations of life,” explains frontman Sam, “because it’s been done to death! We mix things up with the music and write around totally fictional ideas – stories that really play on your imagination. We want people to hear our songs, and be able to visualize the story of that record.”
What makes this young band so exiting is that they’ve managed to combine the best examples of today’s metal with the great British metal of two decades ago: hot dual guitar solos, beatdowns that could take your head clean off, and epic bridges…
Sounds over the top? THE MORNING AFTER are a band that have no intention of being anything OTHER than over the top!
Choir sections? Check. Inward screams? Check. Medieval guitar? Check. Stadium-worthy singalongs? Check. The fact is, hair metal never sounded so good…and The Morning After will take it to a WHOLE new level.
