Strangefish is a Manchester-based, six piece progressive rock band. Originally formed in 1989, the band has had several lineup changes, culminating in the current lineup since 2014.

The band places great importance on musicianship and songwriting, often dealing with challenging lyrical themes, but without ever becoming overly serious and always delivered with a trademark sense of fun, especially in live performance.

Strangefish has released two albums - the debut 'Full Scale' in 2003 and its follow up, the critically acclaimed 'Fortune Telling' in 2006, which won a clutch of accolades including Best Album and Best Song ('Ignorance of Bliss') at the 2006 Classic Rock Society Awards.
