Mallory Knox

+ Blitz Kids + Crooks

Mallory Knox are a alternative rock band from Cambridge, UK, with five members. In 2013, they released their debut album Signals which reached number 33 in the UK album charts.

They formed in late 2009 when Mikey, Sam, Joe, Dave and James set about writing music that they wanted to hear themselves. They had been writing for three months prior until they had established their name in the local music scene. After quickly establishing a loyal fan base, Mallory Knox went into the studio to record their debut EP, entitled “Pilot”, with Dan Lancaster (We Are The Ocean, Lower Than Atlantis, Proceed) at Studio Glasseye. The release of Pilot EP a few months later built the boys fan base and reputation further and gained them substantial notice within the industry.

Mallory Knox quickly became more than a local hometown band; playing across the country on their first tour with Never Means Maybe, as well as being endorsed by Rockstar energy drink. The release of their first video “Oceans” which reached as high as number 2 in the most requested Scuzz chart, as well as a number of tours to be announced for the first quarter or 2011, set Mallory Knox up for both a productive and exciting end to their first full year as a band.

Throughout 2012 the band released a series of singles (Death Rattle), (Wake Up), (Lighthouse), (Beggars), (Hello). On January 2013, the band released their first album, Signals. It reached No. 33 in the UK album charts.

It was announced on April 19 of 2013 that they have signed with Search & Destroy Music, a joint venture between Craig Jennings and Sony. The band are represented by Jennings' management company Raw Power. In May the same year, the band stated that they had filmed and finished the recording for a music video, and on the 2nd of june the same year, the video had been released for the song Hello, and for the following week, was Kerrang!'s Music Video of the Week from 3 June to the 9th. During the Kerrang! Awards 2013, Mallory Knox where nominated for Best British Newcomer however the band Lower Than Atlantis won that award.
