Resistanz is proud to announce joining DJ’s DeadDancer and Uberman in the hardstyle after party room on the Sunday evening, for the first time in Sheffield, UK based hardstyle DJ Chojin!

If you are looking for hard kick drums, thumping bass lines and epic uplifting riffs then look no further than Chojin. The winner of Spunky’s Best Hardstyle DJ for 2008 and the recent 2011 awards knows how to ro…ck a crowd with his mix of high energy hardstyle and crazy antics behind the decks. Chojin can often be seen jumping around the stage in some creepy mask or loud costume catching the attention of many ravers keeping them entertained from the start of his set to the very end.

Chojin has been a resident for the Spunky nights in Hereford since the age of eighteen and has rapidly gone from the new kid on the block to the number one DJ for Hardstyle in the area. Now with a fair size following Chojin is spreading his sound to new crowds around the country. Recently playing several times for the mighty Hardstyle night Bionic, including midnight set at new years eve 2009 and mainstage in 2010 and various other events including the birthday nights. Chojin has also performed for other well respected events such as Ravers Reunited, Horizon, Octane and Squelcher and many more. With such a banging start to his career Chojin is set to have an interesting future ahead of him.

Chojin has recently teamed up with local artist Matt Envy to start producing his own tunes and their first track to be finished called The Machine has smashed dance floors when tested and is signed by top promoters Bionic. They also have two releases on the Epidemic Black label. So keep you’re ears peeled for their hard edged sounds in future projects. The Machine, Hard Bass Heart Attack and Dreamcatcher are all now available to download from trackitdown.net.

With RevolutioN hosting the mainroom Saturday night after party, these two DJ announcements should come as no surprise.

Joining Geoff Lee (Modulate) and international DJ, Totentanz on the mainstage, DJ’s L8N (Resistanz Festival promoter) and Carbonel (Uberbyte) will be bringing the hard sounds of electro and industrial that has made the RevolutioN night one of the UK’s most talked about industri…al parties.

The RevolutioN clubnight started a little under 3 years ago at The Plug venue in Sheffield and ran there for a year before moving to its current home, the infamous Corporation. The night has run from strength to strength and seen some of the scenes best DJ’s and live acts (both domestic and international) take to both stage and decks thanks to the backing of Corporation. It was through working closely with the Corporation management that the first Resistanz Festival came about. Without RevolutioN there would be no festival.

Tanz die RevolutioN, Viva la Resistanz!

The name, “mind.in.a.box” stands for the restriction of spirit. Locked between the dots, it describes the oppressive control of the ego through the smallest everyday obligations to the crippling, genuine feelings of loneliness. This name is a symbol for the invisible gap between the objectives of freedom and the sober, restrictive reality. mind.in.a.box…’s music serves as a valve in a claustrophobic world that crams the awareness in an ever-smaller box. In the ongoing narrative within the band’s lyrics, the “Dreamweb” acts as a synonym for sedation and immobilization of society and the individual. From this background the group weaves their songs, between frightening fiction and a dark, oppressive reality.

Mind.in.a.box mind.in.a.box sound of Technopop is a cross between Futurepop, Progressive Trance and cyberpunk. The live sound is much more edgy and easier to listen as on the CDs, and the ingenious integration of analog instruments boasts an innovative creativity away from the genre average. The live set shows with the songs, visuals and snippets parts of the science fiction story, which covers the albums in the style of fiction noir.

Now added to the Sunday line up, Resistanz Festival is proud to present for the first time in the UK, FGFC820.

Formed in 2004, FGFC820 is the harsh EBM project from well-known and respected New York City DJs, Rexx Arkana and Dräcos. Drawing on joint
and separate influences ranging from old school industrial to modern gabber, Arkana and Dräcos combine to create a sound that is at once
melodic and relentlessly rhythmic, “bringing the ‘thump’ back to EBM”, as one reviewer put it.

Joining Presley in the MODE room on Resistanz Saturday, DJ Jane Dalton!

Jane is the resident DJ of her club Dark-Cide (and it’s cybernetic sister event Electro-Cide) which has been hosting alt parties for over 10 years in the Northwest of England – and who’s current home is in one of the best Uni Venues in the country – 53 Degrees at UCLAN. She adores a great range of music right across the genres which means her mixes can be as specialised or as versatile as the event demands. Also a musician she’s played in various UK bands over the years (Squid/Uninvited Guest) at many UK festivals and in Europe too, and currently plays bass with brand new industro-glam-rockers Razor Cut (working on their debut album), so she’s got a huge range of experience over the years and loves nothing more than to see people out on the dancefloor having a blast and a great party.

Set to be a guest at MODE, she’s gonna be blasting out the PA a huge diverse range of music more akin to her Dark-Cide sets which you can hear a taste of here!

Resistanz is proud to announce team Nightmare – Gadge Europe, Urban Cannibal and DJ False, will be hosting “Machine Nation”, 1 of 3 after parties taking place at Corporation on the Sunday evening!

Nightmare came to life in late 2000 when Infest Co-creators Gadge and Infest Chris, moved from their university down of Bradford to the altogether more picturesque Nottingham. Leaving the city where they started Infest behind they found Nottingham needed something New. Initially the club ran a pre xmas one off called the Nightmare Before Christmas… after that the club asked the boys to do more and how could they refuse?

Cue Nightmare, from its inception a hybrid night combining a bastard breed of upbeat alternative styles from Pop Will Eat Itself to powernoise. Infest Chris hung up his headphones after a year or so and veteran DJ Gadge recruited long standing friend Urban Cannibal to join him on the decks. Nightmare had many other resident and guest DJs come and go until we hired DJ False by accident, “False had been listed on another clubs flyers a a Nigtmare resident and rather than make him look like he was telling a porkie we hired him” – Gadge

In its ten year span as a regular clubnight Nightmare packed out show after show in a score of venues across the Midlands, the club was also notably one of the first in the UK to mix in hard dance and outside influences into traditional EBM sets… Italian Hardstyle, Electroclash, and Breakbeat were all quickly picked up on by the Nightmare crowd.

As well as packing out midlands clubs the Nightmare team have guested at so many clubs and festivals in the UK it would be easier to list the ones they haven’t spun discs at!

After ten years in the vanguard of the industrial scene the guys decided to call it a day while they were still having fun and Nightmare effectively finished in 2010 – but has since been resurrected for several ad-hoc well received retro industrial ‘Machine Nation’ specials.

A bit like the A-team, the Nightmare DJs are still out there if you can find them! Playing the upbeat, infectious and outrageous hard industrial dance music you all know and love… tempered with a wicked sense of humour and that’s exactly what they intend to bring to RESISTANZ in April.

Born in 1986, DJane Pink Foamy started to listen to industrial at the age of 15. From this time forward her burning urge to set dancefloors aflame was established. Her first public appearance at Club Graffitti in Vienna, soon led to her ongoing engagement at the famous Cabaret Fledermaus, where she constituated herself as one of Vienna’s leading DJs by setting up her own event “STRAFTANZ” in 2007 as well as by promoting shows to bring scene artists to Vienna for the first time.

Her unique style in music and attitude soon caught the attention of Thomas Rainer (NACHTMAHR, L’ÂME IMMORTELLE) who was looking for young talents to add to the DJ lineup of Club Pi. Foamy established her residancy quickly. Her force at PORNO.INDUSTRIE and SCHWARZFLUG led to the foundation of the EXIT:CYBER series, Foamy’s tribute to europes growing cybergoth scene.

Sharks can not swim in a pond, and so the Foamy shifted her focus to the bigger waters. Fetish parties at Phoenix Supperclub, special guest appearances at Overdose Salzburg marked her ongoing growth in Austria, while she started to gain international recognition through appearances at places such as Londons Slimelight, Cyber Heresy Bratislava, Stahl Disko Zürich, and the legendary Resistanz Festival of Sheffield.

At dusk of 2011, Foamy grew into one of Europes leading industrial DJs and is hungry and foolish enough to spread her distorted beats into the radiating dawn of 2012.
